Germany: billions more for defense budget

The German federal budget forecast suggests multibillion increase in defense spending for 2019. For several years, the German army has been facing shortages in armor and equipment as well as pressure from its NATO allies, mostly president Trump, who criticized the country for breaking promises on target budget and the commonly agreed 2% of the GDP.
