China’s Type 076 Amphibious Assault Carrier Outsizes France’s Aircraft Carrier to Conduct Attacks From Sea

China’s unveiling of the Type 076 amphibious assault carrier has drawn attention across the naval defense community because its 263-meter hull and estimated 50,000-ton displacement now exceed the dimensions of France’s nuclear-powered Charles de Gaulle.
