Airbus C295W selected for Canada's Fixed-Wing SAR Program

Today, the Government of Canada announced that it had selected the Airbus C295W for its Fixed-Wing Search and Rescue Program. Under this $2.3 bn contract started in 2004, Canada will replace its fleets of Buffalo and C-130 aircraft assigned to SAR missions for 16 C295W twin-turboprop aircraft.
