AMN: Iraqi PM calls for a “thorough investigation” on why the US invaded his country

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has called for on Tuesday during a press conference for a full investigation into the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq.

He said he wants to see a "thorough investigation" on why the US decided its troops needed to be "occupying" Iraq.

“The US invasion of Iraq removed [former Iraqi dictator] Saddam [Hussein]'s regime, but on the other hand it led to… tragedies," he pointed out.
