At the Surface Navy Association's (SNA) National Symposium recently held near Washington DC, Raytheon was showcasing its Excalibur 155mm extended range precision projectile. Raytheon thinks that its weapon would be the right replacement for the LRLAP originally intended for the DDG 1000 / Zumwalt-class destroyers' advanced gun systems (AGS).
