Russian army is on the way to implement the concept and combat use of UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle or Robotic Military Systems in its armed forces. Based to the concept, the share of robots in the overall structure of Russian military equipment should reach 30 percent in the next eight years including the Vikhr robot based on Russian-made BMP-3 IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle).
