Japan is considering using the AEGIS Ashore missile defence system

Japan is considering the purchase of additional land-based missile defenses. A feasibility study will examine the land-based AEGIS missile defense system. The AEGIS Ashore could become part of Japan's multi-tiered ballistic missile defense network. Deployment could take place several years from now. Read more news
