The Indian Navy announced that Khanderi, the second of the six Scorpene-class submarines being built in India at MDL, sailed out on 01 June 2017 from Mumbai harbour for her maiden sea sortie. Meanwhile, Kalvari, the first ship of the class, conducted its first torpedo firing.
