Emily Clark, ABC News: Saudi Arabia: How the kingdom is trying to 'assert a bold new authority'

There are many reasons why Saudi Arabia has been in the news of late.

Purging princes, a corruption probe and the decision to pull its citizens out of Lebanon — and yes, that appears to include the Lebanese PM Saad Hariri.

Analysts say the moves are helping Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman "centralise power" and are part of a plan to "assert a bold new Saudi authority" over the Middle East.
