Pakistan expresses concern over recent cruise missile tests conducted by India termed them a potential threat to peace in the region.This was stated by Foreign Office Spokesperson Muhammad Faisal in his weekly press briefing in Islamabad today. Replying to questions, he said Indian jingoistic posture is threatening regional peace and tranquility. Pakistan is committed to its policy of peaceful neighbourhood but India posture including its claims of surgical strikes and unprecedented escalation on Line of Control and Working Boundary are threat to peace.

Interior Minister says govt is paying ample attention towards promotion of science and technology in country. He stated this while addressing the 24th convocation of the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore on Thursday afternoon. Government has evolved a strong strategy to curb terrorism and extremism and these menaces have been significantly countered by dint of concrete measures of the government. He said cross-border terrorism is taking place in Baluchistan. 

The recent cruise missile tests conducted by India are threat to regional peace and tranquility. Pakistan is fully capable to defend its borders and territorial integrity. More than 60 percent personnel of Indian Army are present on the Pakistan-India border. Directly or Indirectly, India is involved in anti-Pakistan activities and wanted to create fuss for Pakistan. Pakistan wanted to establish good friendly ties with all its neighbours including India and Afghanistan.
