Navy Recognition recently visited the 1st Submarine Flotilla of the Royal Swedish Navy located at Karlskrona Naval Base in Southern Sweden. The 1st Submarine Flotilla is an operational level organization with the ability to act against targets both submerged and on the surface. The flotilla has the ability to perform intelligence gathering operations, surveillance operations, submarine rescue operations, diving and salvage operations and transport of special forces.
