Russia and Indonesia Agree on the Details of the Contract for the Delivery of the Su-35
SINGAPORE - RIA Novosti. Russia and Indonesia are interested in signing a contract for the supply of Su-35 fighters, currently the parties agree on the technical details of the agreement, RIA Novosti on Tuesday at the exhibition Singapore Airshow-2018 deputy director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation Mikhail Petukhov.
"Negotiations on the delivery of Su-35 aircraft to the Republic of Indonesia continue, the main thing is that the parties are set for the successful conclusion of the negotiations, I hope that the experts of the sides will soon agree on certain technical aspects," he said.
The interlocutor of the agency noted that in preparing this contract, the Russian side takes into account all the requirements of Indonesian legislation.
Earlier, Petukhov told RIA Novosti that the Russian Federation is negotiating the delivery of Su-35 fighters to Indonesia, it is too early to talk about the terms of the signing and the possible amount of the contract. Indonesia's Ambassador to Moscow, Vahid Soupyradi, told RIA Novosti that Indonesia expects to sign a contract for Russian Su-35s by the end of 2017. Indonesia Su-35 programme at risk of delays over commodity dispute
Indonesia’s plan to receive its first Sukhoi Su-35 ‘Flanker-E’ multirole combat aircraft by 2019 is now at risk of being delayed unless the country can resolve a dispute over the list of commodities that are being offered to Russia as part of Indonesia’s counter-trade obligation.
Speaking to Jane’s at the Singapore Airshow 2018 exhibition, a senior Indonesian government official has identified rubber as the commodity that is stalling negotiations between Jakarta and Moscow. (Jane's)
