South Korean medium-altitude UAV conducted a new test flight






An aviation enthusiast, Fangnook has released imagery showing the modern South Korean medium-altitude UAV (serial number 001) during unspecified trials.

The new UAV, nicknamed MUAV or Korean Unmanned System (KUS-FS), is a 4.5-ton medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned surveillance aircraft developed by Korean Air’s Aerospace Division.

From the scanty information available, the new unmanned surveillance aircraft is equipped with LIG Nex1 Synthetic Aperture Radar SAR avionics and Hanwha System formerly Samsung Thales EO/IR optics. The vehicle has a length of 13 m, a height of 3 m, while its wings have a span of 25 m.
