Heavy Casualties Inflicted On Pakistani Side As Army Responds To Ceasefire Violations


Srinagar: The Indian Army has reportedly killed four soldiers of Pakistan in retaliation to ceasefire violation on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. Though the exact numbers are not clear, heavy casualties are likely on Pakistan’s side. The Army also destroyed three Pakistani posts in its response to ceasefire violation. No casualty or damage has been reported from the Indian side.

Pakistan violated ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC) on Sunday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. Pakistani troops started indiscriminate shelling and firing on Indian positions in Digwar area. “The Pakistanis used mortars, small arms and automatics to target Indian positions. Indian positions retaliated effectively and strongly,” a police officer told IANS.
