"Uralvagonzavod" declassified the face of the anti-aircraft artillery complex "Air Defense Derivation". The state testing of the module is planned to begin already this year, general director of the corporation Alexander Potapov said at the exhibition Defexpo India 2018.

At the moment it is known that the car developed by the Nizhny Novgorod company Burevestnik was put on the chassis of the newest BMP-3, reinforcing the units with dynamic protection. It also has a uninhabited automatic combat module. Other characteristics remain a mystery.

"The complex is universal, it serves to destroy air, lightly armored surface and surface targets, as well as manpower, including - sheltered in buildings or structures of light type," the UVZ emphasizes.

The composition of the "Air Defense Derivation" includes the actual combat vehicle with a high-shot rapid-fire gun and increased accuracy of fire. In addition - transport and loading and repair machines, as well as a set of ammunition.

Arsenal complex, in addition to the regular 57-mm shells from the automatic anti-aircraft gun S-60, fragmentation-tracing OR-281U and armor-piercing BR-281U, constitute a fundamentally new shells - multi-function with a remote fuse and guided artillery.

The anti-aircraft missile system is capable of operating at any time of the day and in any weather. It is unattainable for systems of optical and electronic countermeasures. "The machine receives target designation from both the central command post and independently, it is capable of detecting, tracking and hitting targets," explains the developers. "To eliminate each specific target, the most effective ammunition is individually selected."
