20 U.S. Military Service Members Responsible For Guarding Nuclear Missiles Bought, Distributed And Used LSD

The Hill: Security forces guarding nuclear missiles used LSD: report

Several U.S. military service members tasked with guarding nuclear missiles in recent years bought, distributed and used LSD, The Associated Press reported Thursday.

The news outlet reported that members of the Air Force’s nuclear missile corps used LSD, cocaine and other drugs off-duty in 2015 and 2016. No service members were accused of using drugs on duty.

Investigators discovered the existence of the drug ring at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming in March 2016. Six airmen were convicted in courts martial of LSD use or distribution, and 14 were disciplined, according to the report.
