A ‘third arm’ for the GI’s. Work in progress

The research work for US Army soldiers assigned to heavy duty tasks, to mention only them, keeps progressing. The U.S. Army Research Laboratory also keeps working on means of easing the manipulation of heavy weapons in combat situations. A third arm might be a solution.
