KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) have signed the Certificate of Transfer for the RMAF-owned replacement parts for F/A-18 Hornet aircraft (Model A to D), today.

The certificate was inked by RMAF chief General Tan Sri Affendi Buang and Chief of Australian Army, Lieutenant General Angus Campbell representing the Chief of Defence Force Australia in a simple ceremony at the Wisma Pertahanan here.

"The Certificate of Transfer also proves the close cooperation in technology sharing between RMAF and RAAF, and strengthens the bilateral defence ties between Malaysia and Australia," according to the statement issued by RMAF Civil Defence Division.

Campbell in his brief speech also congratulated the RMAF on its 60th anniversary on June 1, saying that he also hoped that the existing cooperation between the RMAF and RAAF would remain strong in the future.
