Daily Caller: North Korean Guide Cracks A Joke About ‘Fake News’ CNN And NBC During Pompeo’s Trip To Pyongyang
One North Korean official reportedly decided to have a little fun with media accompanying Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on his recent visit to North Korea.
As reporters boarded a van that would take them from the airport to the guesthouse in Pyongyang, one of the media handlers asked about the various outlets represented. “No CNN or NBC reporters?” he asked, jokingly adding, “In this van, no fake news.” The two outlets have been targets of constant criticism from the Trump administration.
One of the reporters asked the guide what he expected from the meeting. “We’ll have to see, like your president says,” he responded, suggesting that he is very familiar with American media, as well as the accompanying drama.
