Daily Mail: Russia demonstrates the power of its deadly missiles alongside its heavy artillery and tanks as its largest military drills since the end of the Cold War continue

* The week-long war games dubbed 'Vostok-2018' (East-2018) kicked off in far eastern Russia on Tuesday
* Russia's defence ministry released video of vehicles, planes, helicopters and ships getting into position
* The massive drills, which include the Chinese and Mongolian armies, have been condemned by NATO
* Their start coincided with talks between Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping at economic forum

Russia is continuing to show off its nuclear-capable missiles after mobilising 300,000 troops and 30,000 tanks for its week-long 'war games'.

Dubbed 'Vostok-2018' (East-2018), the country's largest ever military drills since the fall of the Soviet Union kicked off in far eastern Russia and on the Pacific Ocean on Tuesday.

Russia's Ministry of Defence broadcast images on Tuesday of columns of tanks, armoured vehicles and warships on the move, and combat helicopters and fighter aircraft taking off.
