The Philippine Air Force (PAF) is eyeing at least four models of military helicopter that can fit for its combat utility helicopter (CUH) requirement.
First, the Bell 412EPI from Bell Helicopter Textron USA. Second, the Leonardo AW139M from Italy. Third, the S-70 Black Hawk from US. Lastly, the Russian Mil Mi-171.
These options were revealed by PAF Commanding General Lieutenant General Galileo Gerard R. Kintanar Jr. during the Senate hearing on Department of National Defense (DND) budget for 2019.
Regarding the Black Hawk offer, the military will be studying the totality of the package being offered.
