FOX News: Cotton says America would win war against Iran in 'two strikes'
Arkansas Republican Sen. Tom Cotton predicted in a recent interview that the U.S. would win a war against Iran in “two strikes.”
Comments by Cotton, an arch critic of the Iranian regime and the nuclear deal from which the Trump administration withdrew last year, coincide with the increasing escalation between the two countries.
“Could we win in a war with Iran?” PBS’ “Firing Line” host Margaret Hoover asked Cotton during a recent interview.
“Yes, two strikes,” Cotton said. “The first strike and the last strike.”

Update: Cotton: US could win war with Iran in 'two strikes' (The Hill)
WNU Editor: U.S. Senator Cotton does qualify his remarks by saying that he hopes there is no war, and the U.S. should only wage war if the Iranians attack. As to what is my take on an Iranian war. To begin, the conflict would not be isolated in the Middle East. Iran's allies like Hezbollah and others will wage terror strikes worldwide, while assisting Iran in the Middle East. Iraq will be in the cross-hairs of both countries. Afghanistan's Taliban will also be receiving a lot of military supplies from Iran to escalate the war there. As for Iran itself, they will not only be facing complete sanctions, but they will be engaged against Saudi Arabia and its allies, as well as the U.S. military. China and Russia will stay out, but they will give Iran some limited political support.
