New York Times: U.S. Lacks a Clear Picture of Ukraine’s War Strategy, Officials Say

Intelligence agencies know far more about Russia’s military, even as the United States ships billions of dollars in weapons to the Ukrainians.

WASHINGTON — President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has provided near-daily updates of Russia’s invasion on social media; viral video posts have shown the effectiveness of Western weapons in the hands of Ukrainian forces; and the Pentagon has regularly held briefings on developments in the war.

Update: Ukraine Update: U.S. In The Dark On Military Operations, Says New York Times (Countercurrents)

WNU Editor: I am very skeptical of this New York Times report.

There is a "not-so-secret" NATO operational center in Lviv. US spy satellites are monitoring the situation 24/7. One can only imagine how many US intelligence and military personal are on the ground in Ukraine right now. The Ukraine government is completely propped up with US and EU aid. Even the salaries of the Ukrainian army is being paid with this aid. The U.S. has a very good idea on what is happening in this war, and this New York Times' article saying they do not is BS.

But this New York Times post got me thinking. The war is not going well, and the US administration knows it. Are they looking for someone to blame if the situation deteriorates further. Is the US looking for an off-ramp to get out of this war, and blame Zelensky for this failure? My guess is that we are going to know that answer in the coming months, or maybe sooner if Donbas falls to Russian forces in the coming weeks as many are now starting to predict.
