Ukraine’s capital city may face a long winter without heat, electricity or water that could force Kyiv residents to flee if Russia keeps up its attacks on Ukraine’s energy grid, officials warned. 

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko issued the grim appraisal as the US nudges Ukrainian leaders to express a willingness to negotiate with Russia, and allies face possible “Ukraine fatigue,” according to a report.

WNU editor: If the electricity grid is knocked-out, it means the water pumps will only work until their generators run out of diesel. 

As for heat. Ukrainians heat their homes with natural gas, which they have more than enough for this winter .... Ukraine has enough gas for winter, prime minister says (Reuters). I also do not think Russia will start targeting this grid. This grid is being used to provide Russian natural gas to a few eastern European countries, thereby providing revenues to Moscow.
