Denmark supports Ukraine with new air defense and artillery funds worth €728 million

On May 6, 2024, the Danish government announced a new donation package for Ukraine valued at 5.6 billion kroner (€728 million), with a significant focus on air defense and artillery. Of the total amount, 2.4 billion kroner (€312 million) is allocated for strengthening Ukraine's air defense systems. Additionally, the package includes financial support for future contributions to Ukraine's F-16 fleet. This funding will also cover the acquisition of new equipment and ensure the maintenance of artillery pieces, the supply of artillery shells, and the provision of anti-tank mines.
