Dutch-Modernized T-72 Tanks: A Strategic Case Study in International Support for Ukraine

Since Russia's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, international efforts to support Kyiv have intensified under the framework of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG). Ahead of its fifteenth meeting on January 10, 2025, the UDCG has emphasized an operationally driven approach focused on ensuring the production and delivery of essential military equipment, such as the 90 modernized T-72 tanks provided by the United States and the Netherlands.
