On 5 June 2025, two British Royal Air Force Typhoon FGR4 fighter jets were scrambled from the 22nd Tactical Air Base in Malbork, Poland, under NATO command to intercept and shadow two Russian Air Force reconnaissance and surveillance aircraft departing Kaliningrad airspace.
