Hanwha Defense USA disclosed in December 2025 that it has entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with the U.S. Army’s DEVCOM Armaments Center to evaluate the integration of a 58 caliber 155mm cannon on the K9 155mm self-propelled howitzer platform.
