Türkiye has demonstrated a new hard-target strike capability after ASELSAN announced on 7 August 2026 that its TOLUN-P precision-guided penetrator scored a direct hit when launched from Baykar’s Bayraktar AKINCI unmanned combat aircraft. The test shows AKINCI can deliver an indigenous standoff weapon against armored targets and reinforced structures, expanding its ability to attack protected objectives while limiting exposure to hostile defenses.
