China Reveals Warship Acoustic Database to Help Submarines Track U.S. Navy Ships Near Taiwan

China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy has built an operational acoustic database of warship sound signatures, the Ministry of National Defense disclosed on September 6, 2026, giving submarine crews a stronger tool to identify and reacquire surface targets in noisy waters.
