Türkiye has sharpened its counter-drone capabilities after STM’s TUNGA-X high-speed interceptor successfully destroyed a representative hostile UAV during the TURNAs-2026 exercise, the company announced on 25 October 2026. By combining radar support, image-based guidance and precision interception in a rapid sensor-to-effector kill chain, TUNGA-X demonstrated the speed and targeting accuracy needed to strengthen layered air defence against increasingly dangerous UAV threats.
