Türkiye Turns Four ZU-23-2 Anti-Aircraft Guns Into Mobile Modern Counter-Drone Defense System

Turkish defense company FDI Technology Falcon Dynamic Systems has unveiled the Falcon 23-4M Lightning, a short-range counter-drone air defense system that transforms four legacy Russian ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun mounts into a centrally controlled, sensor-linked weapon designed to defeat low-flying unmanned aerial threats. According to the manufacturer, the system is intended to engage targets traveling at up to 650 km/h at ranges of up to 2.5 km and altitudes of up to 1,000 meters, although these figures remain manufacturer-stated performance data still undergoing validation.
